Will Memphis-area schools alert all families of COVID-19 cases? It depends on the school

In Tennessee, state officials have acknowledged that COVID-19 transmission will occur in schools. But how will families and staff know? Communication methods vary across the seven public school districts in Shelby County. Some schools plan to report cases of COVID-19 schoolwide, as many would if another infectious illness, like measles, was found in the school.
