Boucher Named Interim Dean of University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy

Bradley A. Boucher, PharmD, FCCP, FNAP, MCCM, has been named the interim dean of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s College of Pharmacy. On June 1, Dr. Boucher, currently the associate dean for Strategic Initiatives and Operations in the college, will succeed Marie Chisholm-Burns, PharmD, PhD, MPH, MBA, FCCP, FASHP, FAST.


Alston Named Associate Vice Chancellor for Inclusion, Equity, Diversity at University of Tennessee Health Science Center

Michael Alston, EdD, CCDP/AP, assistant vice chancellor for Equity and Diversity, Title IX coordinator, and chief diversity officer at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, has been named to the new position of associate vice chancellor for Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity at UTHSC. The appointment is effective June 30.

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center issued the following news: Patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD) face an increased risk of death due in part to cardiovascular problems caused by chronic inflammation. Efforts to reduce this inflammation have tended to target dialysis-related procedures and the accumulation of toxic waste products.
