This week thousands of people across Shelby County got their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, but not before waiting several hours in line. Friday, some progress was made. After waiting three hours in line for a COVID-19 vaccine shot at the Pipkin Building, Anette Hossier and her husband had built up an appetite.
The big metal letters on the normally vacant building at 2355 Appling City Cove read “Motor Vehicle Inspection. ”But the volunteers in orange T-shirts and lab coats Friday, Jan. 29, were focused on drivers and passengers in the lines of cars going through the six bays at what was once a city auto inspection station.
