Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital’s new $9.5 million outpatient center in Jackson is now open… The 255-bed Le Bonheur hospital in Memphis serves as a primary teaching affiliate for the University Tennessee Health Science Center and trains more than 350 pediatricians and specialists each year.

The College of Dentistry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center recently participated in the American Dental Association’s annual Give Kids a Smile Day. Partnering with Freedom Preparatory Academy Charter School, the College of Dentistry provided 1,105 procedures to more than 80 children valued at $22,188.

The area’s free, 24/7 crisis intervention hotline for almost 50 years, is looking for committed volunteers to answer those calls.
