Ashley Saucier, MD, from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, and colleagues conducted a prospective observational cohort study involving 196 patients to assess the diagnostic accuracy of a clinical pathway for suspected appendicitis.
Dr. Ramasubbareddy Dhanireddy said the program, which has five different centers statewide, is effective for West Tennesse and run from the Regional Medical Center.
