The commission approved Mayor Mark Luttrell’s appointments of Dr. Kennard Brown and Dr. William Evans to the Shelby County Healthcare Corp. board of directors, which oversees the Regional One Medical Center. Brown is executive vice chancellor and chief operations officer at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Evans is the retired director and CEO of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
