Memphis’ largest and most prominent colleges and universities have had a flurry of changes at the top. With some positions filled, some filled in the interim, and some on the way to being filled permanently, MBJ gives a rundown of what the leadership situation is looking like at those institutions (see profiles below).
And, also departing in mid-2022 is Dr. Steve Schwab, the chancellor of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) since 2010. He leaves a significant imprint on the campus, with numerous new buildings supporting cutting-edge research and educational offerings.
