|

Four executive leaders from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s College of Medicine were named to the Castle Connolly Top Doctors list of Exceptional Women in Medicine. Nominated by their peers, the doctors were selected after undergoing a rigorous screening process conducted by Castle Connolly’s physician-led research team.

Among the many UTHSC physicians listed, the College of Medicine leaders on the list include: Alicia M. Diaz Thomas, MD, MPH, interim assistant dean of Faculty Affairs; Natascha Stone Thompson, MD, FACP, associate dean of Graduate Medical Education; Catherine R. Womack, MD, associate dean of Student Affairs and Admissions; and Claudette Jones Shephard, MD, associate dean of Diversity and Inclusion.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have such wonderful leaders in the College of Medicine,” said Scott Strome, MD, Robert Kaplan Executive Dean of the College of the UTHSC Medicine and vice chancellor for Health Affairs. “We thank each of them for all they do to make us better, and also thank the individuals who weren’t recognized but also contribute to our mission.”
