World-renowned experts in the major fields of medical imaging will gather at the Fogelman Executive Conference Center at the University of Memphis for the Fifth Annual Memphis BioImaging Symposium (MemBIS) on Thursday, Nov. 6, and Friday, Nov. 7.

The UTHSC College of Medicine has appointed Dennis D. Black, MD, to the John Dustin Buckman Endowed Professorship in Pediatrics.

Steve J. Schwab, MD, executive dean of the College of Medicine for UTHSC, has announced the appointment of Matthew Ennis, PhD, as the Simon R. Bruesch Endowed Professor and chairman for the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology.

Harris L. Cohen, MD, has been appointed medical director of the Pediatric Radiology Department at Le Bonheur and executive vice chair in the Department of Radiology in the College of Medicine at UTHSC.

Robert Wallace, MD, chair of Plastic Surgery and Steve J. Schwab, MD, executive dean of the College of Medicine for UTHSC, have appointed William Hickerson, MD, chief of burn surgery for the College of Medicine.

Veronica T. Mallett, MD, chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, has announced the appointment of Edward Stanford, MD, MS, FACOG, FACS, as Division Head of Gynecologic Services and Female Pelvic Medicine in OB/GYN.

Russell Chesney, MD, professor and chairman, Department of Pediatrics, has announced the appointment of Robert Ferry, Jr., MD, as chief for the combined UTHSC and St. Jude Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes in the College of Medicine.

Timothy C. Fabian, MD, Harwell Wilson Alumni Professor and chairman of the department of surgery for UTHSC, announces the formation of a new division of surgical oncology and the newly appointed division chief, Mathew Ninan, MD.
