In less than three weeks, the University of Tennessee Health Science Center will launch its new $39.7 million, 45,000-square-foot building packed with high-tech tools and a cutting-edge training environment.
In the new Center for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Simulation, they’ll be able to hone their skills in virtual reality — using high-tech manikins (jointed, detachable models of humans) and other computer and robotic simulators — before experiencing the pressure of seeing actual patients.
