Last summer, the UT Health Science Center campus announced that our administration had identified and contracted with an outside vendor to lease space on our Memphis campus (1026 Madison Avenue) for the operation and management of a licensed childcare center for the convenience of our employees, students, and residents. The childcare center has been in operation on our campus since July. Last week, the administration made the decision to terminate the contract with the childcare vendor pursuant to the contract’s ninety day advance notice provision.
We wanted you to be aware of this change as soon as possible as we understand this might pose a significant disruption for some of our employees, students, and residents who have children attending the childcare center. The UTHSC Office of Human Resources (HR) is available to assist those UTHSC families in identifying alternate childcare providers.
