We hope you will join UTHSC Center for Youth Advocacy and Well-Being to celebrate our 10th anniversary a “Decade of Excellence” and Children’s Mental Health Action Week by Painting UTHSC Green on May 5, 2025. If you are on the Memphis campus that day, please meet in the green space near the Mooney Building for the UTHSC green group photo, which will be taken promptly at 10:00 AM.
“Why green?” Green signifies new life, new growth, new beginnings. The green shows our support for children with mental health challenges and their families; it is the international symbol to demonstrate support for mental health.
Children’s Mental Health Action Week is recognized annually during the first week of May. This year’s theme is “It’s a WRAP – Wellness, Resilience, Action, and Purpose!” We will have a week of celebratory activities as we transition from Acceptance to Action.
If you can’t make the group photo, feel free to upload photos of yourself, your family, or your department wearing green to support Children’s Mental Health Awareness to the UTHSC Center for Youth Advocacy and Well-Being Facebook page using #GOGREEN4CMH or email them to cyaw@uthsc.edu.
