Since we announced the UT Promise scholarship program in March 2019, countless faculty, staff, alumni and friends of UT have accepted the invitation to mentor a UT Promise student and have experienced the joy of mentoring.
Here is what mentors had to say about their experience in a recent survey:
“I have followed my mentee for two years now and it is cool to watch her transform as a student.”
“I think the most rewarding part of my experience this year was to have a mentee who was invested in the program. My mentee was very focused and checked in regularly. We built a solid connection over the school year. I am hopeful that he continues to reach out throughout his remaining year in college, as well as post-graduation.”
We are still recruiting UT Promise volunteer mentors for the 2023-2024 academic year. Mentors are asked to invest one hour a month to serve as a resource and source of encouragement to our UT Promise scholarship recipients. As a UT advocate and a leader in your community, you would make a great mentor for a UT student.
Please consider this opportunity by signing up today!
Thank you for your valuable commitment to the University. If you have any questions, please contact UT Promise.
