UTHSC/UCH Reducing COVID-19 Testing Hours Starting Tuesday, Jan. 18

|
The UTHSC/UCH COVID-19 testing site is reducing its hours based on demand.
After more than 2,700 tests in two weeks, the UTHSC/UCH COVID-19 testing site will reduce hours based on demand.

The UTHSC/UCH COVID-19 testing site at 3 N. Dunlap Street will reduce hours of operation to reflect declining demand. Starting Tuesday, January 18, the site will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Staffed and run by the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and its clinical partner, University Clinical Health, the site opened to the public January 5. In two weeks, more than 2,760 people have been tested.

The center will not be open on Monday, January 17, the federal observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.

No appointments are necessary for testing. People seeking testing should bring identification showing proof of residency. Proof of insurance is not required, however, individuals who are insured are encouraged to bring it. Results will be sent via email and/or by text within 24-36 hours from the time a specimen is processed.
