The Summer 2021 issue of the College of Medicine Magazine showcases how the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and the college led the community through the global pandemic. As the pandemic continues, so does the work of the university and college. This issue also highlights the importance of improving health equity in Tennessee and beyond and the programs including the Equitable Health in Neighborhoods program, which are contributing toward this mission. The College of Medicine is also extending its reach globally and this issue features the new UTHSC Center for Multicultural and Global Heath, which is cultivating and leveraging relationships with institutions in the United States and abroad to address global health challenges.
