Matthew Moore, EdD, has been named the assistant vice chancellor and registrar for Student Affairs and Enrollment Services for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC).
In this role, he is responsible for directing all facets of the operations of the registrar’s office, including registration and enrollment, course management, class schedule, enrollment certification, grades, official transcripts/diploma and academic records.
The Eufaula, Alabama, native holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctorate of Education from Auburn University. Additionally, he has multiple certifications in information technology, information systems, project management, and telecommunications.
With more than 30 years of related higher education experience, Dr. Moore has served as both faculty and administrator at Auburn University, Louisiana State University, the University of Alabama, and the University of South Alabama, before entering into private practice for approximately 15 years as an enrollment management and student information systems consultant. He has also held interim and permanent positions in enrollment management, such as director of admissions, director of financial aid, university registrar, director of institutional research, director of scholarships, assistant vice president for enrollment management, and associate provost.
Prior to coming to UTHSC, Dr. Moore was the associate provost and registrar at the University of New Orleans. While there, he participated on various committees, such as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges; was a liaison to the Board of Regents; and served as co-chair of various discipline-specific accreditation committees.
The position will report directly to Susan Davies, PhD, associate vice chancellor of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services at UTHSC.
