Poverty Simulations are an educational experience for both volunteers and participants, and they truly take a village to accomplish. Kimberly Williams MS, PhD(C) is enrolling African American and non-African American students for a research study “Exploring the Matriculation and Resource Utilization of African Americans with Hidden Disabilities in the Health Sciences” to understand your experiences of having as disability and being a student in the Health Sciences. Subjects must be 18 or older, enrolled in any of the colleges of UTHSC, and be of any race. Subjects will be asked to complete a brief demographic survey and do a 60-90 minute interview via Zoom or in person. Drs. Theodore Cory and Camaron Hole are enrolling healthy subjects for a research trial
“Isolation of blood from healthy donors for in vitro infection and analysis”, to find out how the
immune system responds to infection with fungal pathogens.
Subjects must be between the ages of 18-40, and generally healthy. Subjects must not be
heavy alcohol users, use illicit substances, have liver damage, or be pregnant.
Subjects will be asked to provide up to 4 tablespoons of blood per visit, for a maximum of 10
visits, and will be compensated $25 for each blood draw.
