Department of Physiology Zoom Seminar Tomorrow (Thursday, July 2) at 1PM

The Department of Physiology welcomes Dr. Kumar Vaibhav, Research Scientist in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Dr. Vaibhav will be presenting a Zoom seminar entitled “Brain injury, inflammation, and endocannabinoid system: What do we know and where to go from here?” tomorrow, July 2, at 1:00pm CST.

Cybersecurity – TikTok reportedly logging keystrokes of users

Several news articles were published yesterday regarding TikTok spying on millions of users by copying text from a user’s clipboard every few seconds, effectively logging their keystrokes without their knowledge. This was found by a new security feature in Apple’s iOS 14. The Office of Cybersecurity’s stance is from a point of awareness. Individuals must assess the risk of using this or any app.

Please be aware that the COVID-19 case count continues to rise at record-breaking levels each day across Tennessee, and especially in Shelby County. UTHSC has felt the rise in cases, with several new cases affecting our campus in the last two weeks.
