Wonderful opportunity for high-school children of UTHSC faculty, staff and students:
‘BIOL 180 Introduction to Lab and Data Science’ online dual enrollment course
This 3 credit hour course is 100% online, and is designed to provide an overview of lab science, health informatics, information management, and how these professions interact with the health care delivery system.
Next month, BioTN in partnership with research institutions across the state will be launching the ‘From Lab to Launch’ roadshow series to educate students, post-docs, and faculty about lessons in entrepreneurship from life science experts. On Tuesday, August 13, the event will come to UTHSC
Please consider volunteering for an upcoming Poverty Simulation scheduled for Tuesday, August 6. Poverty Simulations are an educational experience for both volunteers and participants, and they truly take a village to accomplish. Help students learn about the challenges people in poverty face in their daily lives. No experience is required, and multiple roles are needed. Learn more and sign up to volunteer here: https://uthsc.givepulse.com/event/462616-Poverty-Simulation-Volunteers-August-6 (Log in with your UTHSC credentials.)
