Kimberly Moore, MBA, has been named assistant vice chancellor of Facilities Administration at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
Moore has been with the university since 2007. She previously served as the director of Facilities Administration. Prior to that, she was the assistant director for the Office of Accounting and Budget with Finance and Operations at UTHSC.
As assistant vice chancellor, Moore‘s responsibilities will include directing, overseeing, and integrating the budgetary and fiscal activities for Facilities Operations. She will also lead the design, implementation, and support of financial systems and related policies and processes needed to identify and manage funds, revenue, and expenditures, and ensuring fiscal compliance while establishing fiscal controls to safeguard UTHSC funds while allowing UTHSC to accomplish its programmatic missions.
Moore’s main focus is to align her workforce strategy with institutional goals. “Workforce planning is having the right people with the right skills, experiences and competencies in the right jobs at the right time,” she said. “Our future is within our control and I look forward to us improving our capabilities and skillsets together.”
Before joining UTHSC, Moore worked for the City of Memphis in the Finance Division as senior financial analyst and budget manager. Moore is an alumna of Christian Brothers University and holds an MBA from Webster University.
