Randy Boyd, the new interim president of the University of Tennessee System, will visit UTHSC Friday as part of a statewide tour of UT campuses and institutes to kick off his tenure.

Boyd’s tour to meet with faculty, staff, and students across the state began with a stop at UT Martin today. He will continue to UT Chattanooga Tuesday, UT Knoxville Thursday, and then head to Memphis. Boyd will finish his tour December 4 in Knoxville with visits to the UT Institute of Agriculture, the UT Institute for Public Service, and the UT Foundation.

While in Memphis, Boyd will tour the UTHSC campus and meet with the Faculty Senate Executive Committee; chairs, deans, and vice chancellors; and city officials. Boyd will also have lunch with the Student Government Association Executive Council and attend a campus meet and greet for students, faculty, and staff from 3-3:45 p.m. in the Student-Alumni Center.

At 5:30 p.m., he will be the guest at a reception in the Hyman Building with hospital leadership, deans and vice chancellors, and practice group leadership.
