UTHSC will support the American Heart Association through participation in the Ninth Annual AHA Heart Walk scheduled for Saturday, September 13 in downtown Memphis.
UTHSC will support the American Heart Association (AHA) in hosting the Ninth Annual AHA Heart Walk, Saturday, Sept. 13, with registration at AutoZone Park. Following is a schedule of events for the day:
8 a.m. — Late registration and a continental breakfast
9-10 a.m. — Walk through downtown Memphis
10-11 a.m. — Subway sandwiches and drinks; clowns and face-painting for the children
11 a.m. — 4-inning baseball game with local celebrities
All participants raising $1,000 will win a 4-day, 3-night cruise for 2; those raising $2,000 will win a 5-day, 4-night cruise for 2! Raise $100 and get an official heart walk T-Shirt!
If you cannot come on September 13, PLEASE consider making a donation in memory or honor of a family member or friend. The American Heart Association will acknowledge this donation if you provide the recipient’s address.
Family and friends are encouraged to walk and will be eligible for prizes.
