The University of Tennessee Health Science Center will hold graduation ceremonies at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 5 in the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts at the Cook Convention Center.
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will hold graduation ceremonies at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 5 in the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts at the Cook Convention Center.
The university will graduate 85 students from the Colleges of Allied Health Sciences, Graduate Health Sciences, Medicine and Nursing.
Alfred Schweikert, PhD, a distinguished alumnus of the UT College of Graduate Health Sciences, will deliver the charge to the graduates. Currently, Dr. Schweikert is director of product development for Titan Pharmaceuticals and works in the area of cell research for Parkinson’s disease.
Also Mayor of High Bridge, New Jersey, he led his community’s effort in providing assistance to New York City after the World Trade Center tragedy in 2001. Later that year, he was recognized as Elected Official of the Year in New Jersey by the Municipal Manger’s Association.
