Second-year physical therapy student Garrett Bowdle has been selected to be a Core Ambassador for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
The position consists of serving as a communication liaison between the Student Assembly Board of Directors and each physical therapy and physical therapy assistant program in the state of Tennessee. The goal is to foster engagement between PT/PTA students in the state and the board, implement strategies, and initiatives to enhance student engagement with the APTA, increase awareness of advocacy efforts, and keep a steady line of communication and the passing of information between the board and all involved programs in the state.
Bowdle, a Knoxville native, plans to pursue an orthopedic residency upon graduation and attain an Orthopaedic Specialist certification.
