Kristi Forman, DBA, has been named the director of Admissions Operations in the Office of Enrollment Management at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). Dr. Forman will provide leadership in the UTHSC Office of Admissions to maintain compliance for admissions processes, ensure accurate and detailed reporting, and uphold admissions policy. Through collaboration with the colleges, she aims to create process efficiency, provide exceptional service to students, create student lifecycle reporting, and simplify admissions policy, processes, and terms.
During her 15 years of experience in enrollment management, Dr. Forman has dedicated herself to fostering positive relationships and creating efficiencies in admissions processes, leading to a better student experience. Before joining the Office of Admissions, Dr. Forman was the director of Faculty Affairs in the Office of Academic, Faculty, and Student Affairs. Prior to joining UTHSC, Dr. Forman was the director of admissions at Christian Brothers University, also having previously held enrollment management positions at Strayer University and Belmont University. Dr. Forman earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Christian Brothers University and a master’s degree in education from Strayer University. She also earned a doctorate in business administration from Wilmington University.
“The enrollment landscape is an exciting yet challenging one that will take a team effort to continue attracting the best and brightest students to UTHSC,” Dr. Forman said. “I am eager to continue building relationships, improving processes at UTHSC, and to foster a collaborative, customer-service focused environment for the student admissions experience.”
“Adding Kristi as the final piece of our Enrollment Management leadership puzzle is so exciting,” said Assistant Vice Chancellor of the Office of Enrollment Management, Lyndsay Pittman, MEd, “Her background in admissions and recruiting brings immense value to our team and she already understands the landscape and mission of UTHSC. Her leadership will complement the talented team in our UTHSC admissions office and help us continue to build efficiencies with the colleges. I am so pleased she is joining us!”
Vice Chancellor for the Office of Academic, Faculty, and Student Affairs Cindy Russell, PhD, RN, said, “I am thrilled to see Kristi move to her new position in the Office of Enrollment Management, where her skill set and vast knowledge of admissions will greatly benefit UTHSC. In her two years as the director of Faculty Affairs, she made such important contributions, including launching an online asynchronous new faculty orientation and conducting several workshops for department chairs and faculty members. The Faculty Senate honored her with their administrator of the year award after only a year in her position. While our faculty and administrators will miss her forthrightness and willingness to participate in challenging conversations regarding her role providing faculty support, our institution will greatly benefit from Kristi’s transition to the director of Admissions.”
