Dean’s Symposium Scheduled for February 27

The Second Annual UTHSC Dean’s Symposium will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, February 27 at the Methodist School of Nursing Auditorium at 251 S. Claybrook St.

The Second Annual University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s (UTHSC) Dean’s Symposium will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, February 27 at the Methodist School of Nursing Auditorium at 251 S. Claybrook Street.

Sponsored by the College of Medicine Dean’s Faculty Advisory Committee, the symposium will feature two UTHSC faculty members. Leonard R. Johnson, PhD, the Thomas A. Gerwin Chair of Excellence in Physiology, will speak on “To Die or Not to Die — That is the Question OR Apoptosis in the Gastrointestinal Tract.” Caroline A. Riely, MD, gastroenterology professor, will speak on “Hepatitis A, B, and C: Alphabet Soup for the Hepatologist.”
