Join us for an impactful event featuring Josh Spickler, Executive Director of Just City—a Memphis-based nonprofit dedicated to transforming local criminal justice policy and practice to ensure fairness for all, regardless of wealth, race, or ethnicity.
Just City targets areas within the criminal legal system where wealth disproportionately influences outcomes. Through its Memphis Community Bail Fund, Just City pays bail for individuals charged with lower-level offenses, helping them return to their homes, jobs, and loved ones. Reducing incarceration has a direct and positive impact on health. Additionally, Just City’s Clean Slate program helps people seal their criminal records, expanding economic opportunities and providing much-needed stability for those reentering the community after involvement with the justice system.
Event Highlights:
Drawing from his experience with the Jericho Project—a post-disposition diversion program at the Shelby County Public Defender’s Office—Josh will share how holistic approaches can break cycles of recidivism and foster lasting recovery. His insights offer a transformative model for criminal justice reform and stronger, more resilient communities.
Don’t Miss This Opportunity!
