Join us for Drs. Anderson and Clark’s presentation on the Development and Implementation of Health Equity Training for Nurse Practitioners Professional Students.
In this session, Drs. Janeane Anderson and Ricketta Clark will discuss how they developed a health equity training session for an HRSA ANEW grant (PI: Sarah Rhoads) that included didactic learning and patient simulation. The training was designed to equip Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students to meet the unique healthcare needs of diverse patient populations. Presenters will discuss their collaborative process for developing the training, working with CHIPS to develop a real-world simulation module, and lessons learned from implementation. Participants will gain an understanding of how to develop training for healthcare professionals designed to address health equity and health justice.
