I’m currently working with our UT Promise team to drive applications for new UT Promise mentors. I’m hoping you could help get this in front of a faculty/staff audience on your campus via email newsletters, social media, etc. Also, note that this opportunity is not limited to just UT Health Science Center employees. Others in the community can become UT Promise mentors, so feel free to share via other avenues as well.
Below you’ll find:
- Standard language you can use to promote the UT Promise mentorship opportunity.
- A link to view and/or download a video of President Randy Boyd urging people to become a mentor.
- Links to social media posts you’re welcome to share.
The deadline to sign up to be a mentor is Thursday, August 15.
Please let me know how else I can help you spread the word.
Thanks,
Jason Moody

DRAFT LANGUAGE FOR NEWSLETTERS—
Make an Impact: Become a UT Promise Mentor
Two-thirds of Tennessee students are now eligible for free tuition and mandatory fees at the UT campus of their choice, thanks to the expansion of the UT Promise scholarship program.
As part of the scholarship, students are matched with a mentor that provides crucial support and guidance, helping them thrive at UT. And that’s where we need your help.
To support the growing number of students, we need more mentors than ever. The time commitment is minimal — just 2 to 3 hours per semester — but the impact is immeasurable.
UT Promise mentors come from all backgrounds. Anyone who meets the requirements can make a difference. Sign up by August 15 to shape the lives of Tennessee students.
Feel free to forward this message to friends, family or colleagues who might be interested in becoming a mentor.
