With DASH Oracle scheduled to replace IRIS, researchers need to be aware of associated changes to the Outside Interest Disclosure (OID) – Conflict of Interest (COI) process. The UT Health Science Center uses the OID process that is part of IRIS to meet federal requirements related to the disclosure and management of researcher conflicts of interest.
The current process of submitting disclosures and updating disclosures through the IRIS system will be discontinued on December 12, 2024 and will be replaced by a new process that will go live on January 6, 2025.
During the transition between systems in December, disclosures in the current system will be used to allow the submission of grant or IRB proposals for deadlines up to January 6, 2025.
Individuals listed as key personnel on proposals submitted between December 12, 2024 and January 6, 2025 who do not have a disclosure in the current system or who need to update their current disclosure, should contact Brenda Murrell or Michelle Lester for guidance on how to meet the disclosure requirements.
Grant or IRB proposals submitted on or after January 6, 2025 will require a disclosure in the new system. More details coming in January!
