Today, April 3rd is national walking day and campus administration is encouraging everyone to take time out of their day for a short 15-minute walk at the Health Science Center Park. 

A walk is not just good for your body, it’s good for your soul. Physical activity is one of the best ways to reduce stress and improve health. But recent reports show that walking rates are declining steadily in the U.S. A trend that can negatively impact mental and physical health. 

Take a walk today! Let’s move together to reduce our stress and renew our hearts. 

Wear red for the American Heart Association and join us today at 1:00pm to walk for 15-minutes around the Health Sciences Park!
