Dr. Michael Alston has served in several areas across the UT system for three decades, most recently as the inaugural Executive Director of the Office of Compliance. Dr. Chandra West-Alston has served in several areas of UT Health Science Center for over two decades, most recently serving as vice chancellor of Human Resources.
In lieu of gifts, they request that donations be made to the UTHSC Exempt Staff Award as they transition this fund to a namesake endowment, The Alston Exempt Staff Award, finalized in fall 2025.
