To honor and show gratitude for the outstanding work of our fellow employees, the Staff Senate will sponsor bimonthly pop-up appreciation events recognizing specific departments and units at the university. The first appreciation event for 2026 will honor the Facilities Department with coffee and doughnuts from 10 a.m.–noon, Wednesday, Feb. 25, in the Student Alumni Center dining hall. These appreciation events are for the individual departments, rather than the overall campus. The Staff Senate looks forward to holding at least six appreciation events this year. Each one will be announced in the Daily Digest. Stay tuned! Your department may be next!
