Greetings Students!
I’m writing to let you know about an opportunity to serve and learn this summer in Kenya with local partners from Germantown United Methodist Church. Led by local physicians and volunteers here in Memphis, there have been almost yearly trips to Maua Methodist Hospital in Maua, Kenya to help on-the-ground teams in their work there.
Some preliminary details for this year’s trip:
- Depart Memphis Thu Jul 25
- Return to Memphis Wed Aug 7
- Time spent mostly serving in and around Maua Methodist Hospital with their orphans home, light construction, remote medical camp, hospital staff support, and more
- Some free time to spend in Nairobi and in one of Kenya’s safari parks
There will be opportunities for Q&A with the trip organizers this month.
The cost for the trip is about $4500 per person. We have funds to support most of the expense for only one student. Other students could also join the trip, but fundraising or other payment would be needed.
