In 2006, after 10 years of service, he resigned from MHA to begin the next chapter of his career. On Nov. 27, 2006, Sgt. King joined the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Police Department as a police officer and was quickly recognized for his leadership, rising through the ranks to Sergeant in 2007. With over 29 years as a commissioned officer and nearly two decades at the UT Health Science Center, Sgt. King leaves a lasting legacy of dedication, leadership, and service.

Whether assigned to a regular post or stepping in to cover various shifts when the need arose, Officer Clemons could always be counted on to serve with excellence and reliability. Officer Clemons performed her duties with integrity and attention to detail. Just as memorable as her work ethic was her warm and welcoming spirit.
