The Regenerative and Rehabilitation Sciences Seminar Series welcomes Hector Paez, MS, a graduate student in the Physiology track of the Biomedical Sciences Program at UTHSC.
He will present his current research project examining the regulation of skeletal muscle metabolism by NOR-1. His primary adviser is Dr. Stephen Alway. He is a Professor and Dean of the College of Health Professions with a research interest in understanding the role of aging-induced changes in structure and function and remodeling in skeletal muscle, mitochondria, and satellite cells.
