Qualitative Research Interest Group – August 10, 2026, 4:00 – 5:00 pm.
Dr. Alisa Haushalter, Dr. Kelly Jo Fulkerson-Dikuua, and Dr. Marie Gill discuss findings from their historical qualitative study that examined the role of nursing theory think tanks in advancing nursing knowledge and theory. Primary data were excavated from the Margaret Newman Archival Collection, with additional data collected during focus group interviews with original think tank members. The findings reveal multiple questions and issues that remain relevant in contemporary nursing practice, research, and education. Feedback and discussion are welcome.
