New Machines at the MRC!

|

The MRC now has QIAgen’s QIAxcel. This machine sports automated fragment analysis of nucleic acids using capillary-electrophoresis. With the capability to run 12 samples at a time, this machine is both faster and cheaper than its predecessors – the Agilent Bioanalyzers. Each run costs $15.

Additionally, the MRC has revamped our digital PCR machine with QIAgen’s QIAcuity One. With minimal hands-on time, the QIAcuity One delivers multiplexed quantification for copy number variation, gene expression or editing studies, and mutation detection. This 2plex operation is available in 24-well and 96-well plates with either 8.5k or 26k well partitions. The machine is free to use, but does require purchasing of reagents.

Details for sample submission can be found on the MRC iLabs webpage. You may also email any MRC staff for any questions or concerns.
