Raaj Kurapati, Executive Vice Chancellor and COO, has established the Health Science Center’s DASH Institutional Working Group. The group’s mission is to develop local responses and practical solutions to key DASH-related questions and concerns, ensuring that business operations continue efficiently. Below are updates addressing recently submitted questions.
- Address not in DASH – If your room/building # or address is not populated in Dash while accessing and ordering from Marketplace, please reach out to Space planning Director, Andrea Kolen at akolen@uthsc.edu.
- Market Place Amazon Shipping Address – When checking out in Amazon, 505 Summer Place, Knoxville is used as a placeholder and is not the final shipping address for your order. Once you submit your Amazon order, it will transfer into DASH. In DASH, you can view the assigned shipping addresses for the transaction and have an opportunity to modify it by selecting an address from the provided list. If a department has specific delivery instructions for a Marketplace order, they should add those delivery instructions to the description field in the requisition, Dash has confirmed that this field is visible to suppliers.
- I need an asset number – Asset numbers for sensitive minor or capital equipment will not be created by departments when purchases are made. In DASH payables, when lines are entered on invoices, there is a “track as asset” check box. Staff entering invoices must check this box for any sensitive minor or capital equipment listed on the invoice. By checking the box, you confirm that the line is an asset, which will route to the Controller’s Office. The Controller’s Office will create the asset. Be advised that you may receive feedback from the UT System Controllers Office requesting detailed information about the equipment.
The Questions Submission Portal, FAQs, and other helpful DASH-related information can be found on the Health Science Center’s DASH website: DASH | UTHSC. We encourage all colleagues to visit the DASH working group webpage and to submit any questions or concerns about DASH at the link provided for such purposes. We will ensure that your concern is addressed as soon as practical.
Thank you,
