Dr. Stephanie Lancaster, Program Director and Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), partners with the International Technology and Engineering Educators’ Association (ITEEA) for a Go Baby Go! Event on March 8, 2024, in Memphis. Held at the Renesant Convention Center as part of the ITEEA Annual Conference, the event aims to enhance mobility for preschool-aged children with disabilities in the MidSouth region.
UTHSC students and faculty members will collaborate with ITEEA experts to modify and custom-fit ride-on toy vehicles for five children, providing them with newfound independence and joy. Each child will receive their personalized vehicle, empowering them to explore, play, and engage fully in their daily activities, showcasing a commitment to innovation, accessibility, and community well-being.
