The Federal Work Study (FWS) Program is officially underway, and we’re excited to begin hiring students for the 2026–2027 academic year!

If you have not yet attended a Federal Work Study Supervisor Training session, you can schedule a one-on-one training at your convenience using the link below:

Already Completed Training?
Please make sure you’ve completed the remaining required steps:
- Submit your signed Federal Work Study Supervisor Acknowledgement Form to workstudy@uthsc.edu
- Provide your department’s full accounting string for the department’s required 25% share of student wages
- Request JobX access (for new users)
- Create or update your department’s JobX job postings and submit them for approval
Important: Your Federal Work Study positions will not be visible to students until all of these steps have been completed and your job postings have been approved.
We’re Recruiting Students — Help Them Find Your Opportunities!
Enrollment Management is actively promoting the Federal Work Study Program by:
- Participating in new student orientations across all colleges
- Marketing opportunities through campus communications
- Working with Financial Aid and other campus partners to increase student awareness
We have students who are becoming eligible and are ready to begin applying. However, if your positions are not posted and approved in JobX, students won’t know your opportunities are available.
Complete your department’s setup today so you can connect with qualified students and be ready for the start of the new academic year.
