Located in 311 Link Building, the NIC offers access to: non-human samples for inclusion and embedding; sectioning, 3 different microscopy modalities and analytical software to support research across disciplines.
Tissue preparation:
- OCT inclusion
- Paraffin embedding
- Resin embedding
Sectioning:
- Cryo-sectioning: Leica Cryostat CM3050S
- Paraffin sectioning: Rotatory Microtome HM 355S
- Resin sectioning: Ultramicrotome
Microscopy:
- TEM: JEOL 2000
- Confocal Microscopy: LSM 980 with Airyscan II
- Fluorescence/Bright Field Microscopy: BZ 800 Series Keyence
Analysis:
- Analytical Software: Imaris, Neurolucida, and Stereo Investigator
Initial four (4) hours of training are free for all equipment!
