The College of Health Professions Seminar Series welcomes Jess Newman McDonald, MSIS. She is an Assistant Professor and Research Data and Scholarly Communications Lead with the Health Sciences Library at UTHSC.
She primarily works with faculty on the topics of research impact assessment, data management and sharing, and scholarly communications topics such as publishing and scholarly profiles. Her research interests include responsible research evaluation, alternative impact metrics, and open-access publishing. She is the library liaison for the College of Graduate Health Sciences.
Her seminar is titled “Metrics that Matter: Evaluating Research Impact for Promotion and Tenure” at noon (CST) on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, via ZOOM.
