As part of broadening our international relationships and recruiting students globally, the UT Health Science Center is developing a relationship with Gulf Medical University (GMU) in the United Arab Emirates. There is keen interest from GMU to partner with the UT Health Science Center on many fronts, including research.
To that end, GMU would like to make our researchers aware of a collaborative grant opportunity. Thumbay International Research Grants are a GMU initiative designed to propel high-impact research projects and foster global collaborations in the following focus areas:
- Precision Medicine and Drug Discovery in Cancer Immunology
- Population Health related to Diabetes, Healthy Aging, and Regenerative Medicine
- AI, Informatics, and Digital Transformation in Healthcare Management and Health Economics
- Innovation in Health Professions Education
Letters of intent are due November 30th. Full applications for those selected to move forward will be due February 15th.
Researchers interested in pursuing this opportunity are encouraged to reach out potential GMU collaborators directly. To identify potential collaborators in the above focus areas, visit the GMU Institutes webpage.
