Cayuse is transitioning to Huron Research Grants & Agreements module in November 2026.
Cayuse will sunset on Wednesday, November 25th.
The new Huron Research Grants & Agreements module will launch on Monday, December 7th, replacing Cayuse SP/424 for processing all grant proposals, sponsored project agreements, and awards across the UT System.
To prepare for the transition:
- FEDERAL GRANT submissions, including LOI(s): must be fully routed and received by OSP by 8:00 am Monday, November 9th.
- OTHER SPONSORED PROPOSALS: must be fully routed and received by OSP by 8:00 am Friday, November 13th.
- AGREEMENTS (such as MTA, DUA, & NDA agreements, etc.): must be fully routed and received by OSP by Friday, October 16, 2026.
No deadline waivers or exceptions will be considered.
During the November 25th to December 7th transition period:
- No new grant proposals, research agreements, or other documents can be routed, processed, or approved
- New awards or agreements cannot be recorded
- No new awards or SPNs can be created
- Awards or SPN elements cannot be modified
- Expenses, including labor distributions and cost transfers, will still be processed through DASH finance PPM
To help ensure a smooth transition, no exceptions can be made.
We strongly recommend submitting applications through Cayuse by November 9th, or earlier. Since system changes can cause unforeseen issues with review and submission, please note: any Cayuse activity not fully routed and approved by November 25th will not transfer to Huron Grants & Agreements and must be resubmitted there instead.
