Johnson & Johnson has launched the Transforming Oral Peptide Delivery QuickFire Challenge, a new challenge seeking innovative solutions for oral peptide-based drug delivery. While peptide therapeutics show strong promise for treating disease due to their high target specificity, oral delivery remains a major challenge—gastrointestinal permeability barriers and harsh GI conditions destabilize peptides, limiting absorption and therapeutic efficacy.
