AI can support making learning experiences more responsive to differences in learners’ readiness, prior knowledge, roles, and learning needs. This session explores how faculty can use AI to adapt explanations, examples, practice activities, clinical cases, scaffolds, and assessment preparation while maintaining common learning objectives and appropriate professional standards. We will demonstrate a tool-agnostic workflow for selecting an appropriate form of differentiation, generating instructional variations, and evaluating them for accuracy, alignment, and rigor. The goal is not to create entirely different courses for every learner, but to use AI strategically to provide meaningful pathways toward the same essential outcomes.
