Activity Overview: This annual symposium will promote faculty engagement and development. The objective of this learning activity is to educate faculty from various colleges at UTHSC on best practices and strategies to teach and train future healthcare professionals.
The learning format will consist of guest lectures, two breakout sessions /workshops, and a poster session.
Objectives:
• Develop the skills necessary to effectively assess learner progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, and plan remediation strategies for struggling learners
• Improved coaching and mentoring capabilities, educational scholarship, clinical care, and scholastic contribution to health sciences teaching and instruction
• Demonstrate an ability to teach and educate a diverse group of learners, assess their progress, provide communication in medical education, and obtain knowledge on competency based education
Call for abstracts: Please submit abstracts by September 15, 2025. Please email your abstract to Shaunta Chamberlin, PharmD at schamberlin@utmck.edu. Selected presenters will be notified by email by September 29, 2025.
