2024 Chancellor’s Faculty Award Nominations Are Open August 19 – September 6!

The Chancellor’s Faculty Award Nominations will be open August 19 – September 6.
 
Eligibility
Candidates must be regular instructor or faculty members with a minimum of three (3) years of consecutive UTHSC service.
Self-nominations and nominations by members of the Advisory Council for Access and Culture (ACAC) will not be considered. Members of the ACAC cannot write letters of endorsement for the award on behalf of nominees.
Members of the ACAC are not eligible to win the award. See the list of members of the Advisory Council for Access and Culture.
 
Criteria
Criteria for selection may include a broad range of access and engagement-centered initiatives, efforts to support recruitment and retention of all faculty, staff, trainees, and/or students; teaching, mentoring, service/outreach, clinical practice, and/or research that expands and embraces our understanding of inclusiveness; multicultural programming or related initiatives; community outreach activities; or several other possibilities that enhance inclusion. Nomination letters should focus on how the nominee’s actions align with UT Health Science Center’s cross-cutting strategic goals and with supplemental documentation addressing stated cross-cutting strategic goals of the nominee’s respective college and department.
 
Nomination Process
A letter of nomination, paying particular attention to how the nominee’s activities reflect the criteria noted above (max 750 words).
 
Selection Process
Candidates selected to move to the final selection stage will have to submit:
A letter of support from the chair and dean of the nominee.
At least two (and no more than five) letters of support from individuals who can provide testimony to the transformational impact and sustained effectiveness of the nominee’s contributions; at least one letter should be from a member of the UTHSC community.
A CV demonstrating the track record of the nominee in the addressing the areas described above.
Any supporting documents as appropriate (e.g., media coverage, teaching evaluations).
