Amali Samarasinghe, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, has been named on the American Lung Association’s 2016-2017 Research Awards Nationwide report for her project titled “Molecules Found in Allergic Airways May Protect Against Influenza.”
The report highlights 69 novel and innovative research projects totaling more than $6.5 million in grant funds distributed by the American Lung Association to help achieve its mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
